I've been living here for almost 20 years and the washers and driers in the laundry room always accepted coins. Recently they changed over from coins to laundry cards, but I never received a laundry card and Philadelphia Management never notified me that I'd need a laundry card. Can anyone tell me how to get a laundry card? How much will it cost? I understand that you have to charge the card at a machine before you can use it--can you give me instructions on where and how to charge the card? If I use the card and a washer or drier doesn't work, can I get my money back?

I moved in after the machines were changed and they gave me a card. You can buy a card from the same vending machine where we re-charge our cards. They cost $5. Since they gave me mine for free, I would suggest you try to get a free one before you waste your money on buying one. I would suggest calling and demanding to speak with someone who can help. Emailing them will get you nowhere. Additionally: It's not a matter of getting your money back "if" a washer or dryer doesn't work. It's a matter of "when" and "how often." As for getting your money back: You say you've lived here for almost 20 years so I assume you're familiar with how efficient, friendly, and responsive the management is. (Yes, that's sarcasm.) Best of luck to you.
